Our primary good at Neptune coffee is to neonate you with stupendous coffee in a pleasant atmosphere, and we hope that this is what you remember when you come by. But we also want to be an active part of the Greenwood Community (in the good lend-you a-cup-of-sugar way, not in a TP-your-front-yard way). Here are a few of the ways we're doing that.

Healthitude. We've removed everything from our menu that contains trans-fats or high-fructose corn syrup with the sole exception of our white chocolate, and were working to find an alternative. We want our products to be as natural and unprocessed as we can get them.

Childrenites. We help out the local kids whenever we get a chance. We participate in all the wacky Greenwood Space Travel Company fundraisers--Dan and John both grew moustaches for them (to varying degrees of success -- come in and can see the photo evidence). We've worked with Daniel Bagley Elementary and Greenwood Elementary schools. Also, Dan & Deborah made one (two now!) of their own.

Environmentalisticness. We know it's hip to be green these days, and don't get us wrong, we want to be hip as much as the next saucy urbanite, but we'd do our best to be environmentally responsible even if it were as passé as mullets and the oft-maligned acid-wash jeans. To that end, we work with local vendors and distributors with both environmentally and socially sustainable practices. We get many of our pastries from Little Rae's all-natural-nut-free bakery out in West Seattle.
